q. Who are you?

a. We are nonprofit workers interested in creating space for stories of the 501(c)3 life &mdash the stories that don't make it into fundraising letters, donor lunches, or grant reports, the stories that managers themselves don't necessarily even know.

q. So... this is a place for whining about what doesn't go well in nonprofits?

a. Absolutely! But Naked Nonprofit's also for exchanging good stories about our work and why we do it, as well as for collaborating, learning from one another, and trying to figure out better ways forward.

q. Why do you accept advertisements?

a. It costs money to offer a professional, fluid, and thought-provoking space for nonprofit folks to connect. For now, ads help pay for this. Hopefully discussions at the Naked Nonprofit forum and blog will help us envision other ways to pay the bills, with the long-term goal of expanding our offerings and paying our bloggers. If you have fundraising ideas, please join the Forum topic here. If you want to give us money without strings attached, please email info@nakednonprofit.com.

q. Why no real naked pictures?

a. A firm rule: no stripping until the second date. We suggest flowers and dark chocolate.
